Abstract
This a commentary on how AI is changing Music law. It is discussed are how AI is reshaping creativity and authorship with copyright law. Then goes on to discuss Thaler v. Perlmutter and the current state of U.S. law regarding copy protection for AI-generated music. Recent ligation is also discussed, Bartz v. Anthropic and Kadrey v. Meta. Then commentary discusses deepfakes, infringement from AI music and Spotify’s trend to embrace AI-generated music.
