Abstract
This comment will analyze the newly established war crimes tribunal and then determine whether the tribunal will be a successful prosecutorial and deterrent device. In addition, this comment will consider whether a permanent criminal court under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (Genocide Convention) is a viable alternative to the temporary tribunal.
